Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We include a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the foundational aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are dedicated to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have dismissed their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Master Ranch – West exclusively enrolls troubled or at-risk boys. Beyond helping capable students get back on track academically, we present specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Community service opportunities and real jobs offer real life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that uses a model of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly objectives established by teaching staff based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teenagers and their families today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which believes that young people can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every teen is asked to try at least one sport because of the important values that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
