Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the cornerstone component of Master Ranch – West. We are dedicated to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teens who attend have moved away from their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Master Ranch – West exclusively works with troubled or at-risk boys. In addition to helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we offer specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love others. Community service events and real jobs provide real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that operates under a program of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly objectives set by instructors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch acknowledges that teenagers and their families today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they become committed to the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a life of serving others. If your teenage boy needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character maturation as part of a holistic approach to development. Every teen is asked to participate in at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
