Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the foundational component of Master Ranch – West. We are dedicated to introducing every student to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have moved away from their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.
Master Ranch – West exclusively serves troubled or at-risk boys. Beyond helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each teenager. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Community service events and real jobs provide real life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that operates under a model of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly goals set by tutors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are available for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also encourages students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch recognizes that adolescents and their families today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which states that young people can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they devote themselves to the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character growth as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every student is encouraged to play at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
