Military-Like School, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the cornerstone aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are devoted to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teens who come have dismissed their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Master Ranch – West exclusively serves troubled or at-risk boys. Beyond helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we offer specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each child. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Community service projects and real jobs offer real life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a model of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly objectives set by instructors based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to prepare for post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch recognizes that teenagers and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which states that teens can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they devote themselves to the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every teen is asked to participate in at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
