Military-Like Academy, With a Heart

Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We include a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.

Spiritual life is also the cornerstone aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teens who enroll have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.

Academics

Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives set by teaching staff based on the student’s program of study. Courses are available for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and college applications.

Our Positive Culture

boys at boarding schoolThe caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teenagers and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that young people can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of helping and caring for others.

Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a desire for serving others. If your teenage boy needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider MR-West.

Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every teen is encouraged to play at least one sport because of the important values that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
