Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We include a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the cornerstone aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are devoted to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have dismissed their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.
Master Ranch – West exclusively works with troubled or at-risk boys. In addition to helping capable students get back on track academically, we provide specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each teenager. We teach teens to serve and love each other. Community service events and real jobs give real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that operates under a program of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly goals established by teaching staff based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teens and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are surrounded by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which states that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character growth as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every teen is asked to play at least one sport because of the important values that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
