Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the foundational aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are devoted to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teens who attend have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers an open environment for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.
Master Ranch – West exclusively works with troubled or at-risk boys. In addition to helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we present specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each child. We teach teens to serve and love each other. Community service events and real jobs provide real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that operates under a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives set by teaching staff based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are available for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also encourages students to prepare for post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teens and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are surrounded by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that young people can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they become committed to the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to an attitude of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character growth as part of a holistic approach to development. Every teen is encouraged to try at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
