Under the structure and order of a military school, wayward teenage boys become respectful, confident leaders and responsible citizens. Master Ranch – West in Washington State is a military-like Christian boarding school. It is an early intervention school whose purpose is to lead wayward teenagers to fulfill their individual purpose, or destiny, in Christ.

Teens come to Master Ranch – West from across the country, including from Kirkland, Washington. Parents often find it constructive to experience a new environment detached from their boy’s negative peers.

Military-Like School, With a Heart

Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We include a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.

Spiritual life is also the cornerstone aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every student to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers an open environment for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.

Leadership Training

boarding school for boysMaster Ranch – West exclusively serves troubled or at-risk boys. Besides helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Community service events and real jobs offer real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at MR-West.

Academics

Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a model of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives set by tutors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also encourages students to prepare for post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.

Our Positive Culture

boys at boarding schoolThe caring staff here at Master’s Ranch recognizes that teens and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are surrounded by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they devote themselves to the positive values of serving and caring for others.

Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a desire for serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider MR-West.

Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every student is asked to participate in at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
