Master Ranch – West in Washington State is a military-like Christian boarding school. It is an early intervention school whose purpose is to lead struggling teens to realize their individual purpose, or destiny, in Christ.

Military-Like School, With a Heart

Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.

Spiritual life is also the cornerstone aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are devoted to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teens who come have dismissed their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.

Leadership Training

In addition to helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we offer specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each teenager. We teach teens to serve and love others. Community service opportunities and real jobs give real life experience and application of the leadership principles demonstrated at MR-West.

Academics

Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives established by tutors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are available for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.

Our Positive Culture

boys at boarding schoolThe caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that adolescents and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which states that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of serving and caring for others.

Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider MR-West.

Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character growth as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every teen is asked to play at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
