Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the foundational aspect of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every student to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Master Ranch – West exclusively works with troubled or at-risk boys. Besides helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each teenager. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Community service events and real jobs provide real life experience and application of the leadership principles demonstrated at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives established by tutors based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teenagers and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that teens can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your teenage boy needs order and discipline to change his direction, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character growth as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every student is asked to participate in at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be gained. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
