Military-Like School, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the foundational characteristic of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have moved away from their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Master Ranch – West exclusively enrolls troubled or at-risk boys. Beyond helping capable students get back on track academically, we provide specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each child. We teach teens to serve and love each other. Community service projects and real jobs offer real life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that operates under a program of classroom and independent study. Students work through courses, with weekly goals established by tutors based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to prepare for post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch knows that teens and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which believes that young people can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a life of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character growth as part of a holistic approach to development. Every teen is encouraged to participate in at least one sport because of the important values that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
