Military-Like Discipline, With a Heart

Master Ranch – West is a military-like school like no other. We are a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.

Spiritual life is also the foundational characteristic of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every student to His Maker. Many teens who enroll have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.

Leadership Training

In addition to helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each child. We teach teens to serve and love each other. Community service projects and real jobs give real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at MR-West.

Academics

Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly goals established by tutors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and college applications.

Our Positive Culture

boys at boarding schoolThe caring staff here at Master’s Ranch recognizes that teenagers and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which states that young people can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of serving and caring for others.

Many boys in our military school program turn away from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your son needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider MR-West.

Athletics at MRCA play a role in leadership development and character maturation as part of a holistic approach to development. Every student is asked to try at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
