Military-Like Academy, With a Heart
Master Ranch – West is a military-like school unlike any other. We include a military academy, an accredited school, as well as a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are meant to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the cornerstone component of Master Ranch – West. We are committed to introducing every student to His Maker. Many teenagers who enroll have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed any belief. This program offers an open environment for them to take ownership of their faith, as they may never have done before.
Master Ranch – West exclusively works with troubled or at-risk boys. Besides helping capable students get back on track academically, we present specific leadership training to unlock the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love others. Community service events and real jobs offer real life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at MR-West.
Boys who attend Master’s Ranch – West go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives set by teaching staff based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. MR-West also supports students to prepare for post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and applying for colleges.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Master’s Ranch acknowledges that teens and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The MR-West model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they become committed to the positive values of serving and caring for others.
Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your teenager needs order and discipline to turn his life around, please consider MR-West.
Athletics at MRCA contribute to leadership development and character maturation as part of a holistic approach to development. Every student is asked to try at least one sport because of the valuable life skills that can be learned. Master Ranch – West offers a number of sports programs.
